Web Design Inspiration

Have the lines of code become too much and you're in need of a creativity boost? We've all been in this position before and can relate. In an effort to reclaim your creativity, here are 8 tips to rev up your web design inspiration.

Keeping Up With The Local Trends

As with all good things, trends and technologies go in and out of style which can make a once great website look old or sluggish. Keeping informed of new updates and trends can prove to be very helpful in staying on top of the web world.

Surround Yourself With Great Projects

When you hit a creativity block, what better way to get yourself out than some extremely well built websites? Updated daily, Web design Inspiration features the latest and greatest when it comes to unique web design. A few minutes of scrolling through these amazing sites will leave you with a boost of creativity that coffee would envy.

Stay Connected With Industry Leaders

I won't sugarcoat it; it's difficult to stay connected with industry leaders. It requires time and energy to keep up-to-date with other people's projects and work but it can be a huge payoff. A few good starting points for inspirational blogs can be found in these lists of 55 Web Design Blogs to Follow in 2016 and the 30 Best Web Design Blogs of All Time You Must Follow.

Work When You're Working

Have you ever went to work only to leave thinking, "What did I actually accomplish today?" It can happen to the best of us, but can be toxic if you let it. Limiting distractions and committing yourself while working can actually spur your inspiration. You'd be surprised what a little focus can do for a person.

Take Breaks To Let It All Sink In

Take a break every hour or two, you've earned it! Treat yourself to a short video you stumbled across, grab a quick snack, or sneak in a few stretches to keep that limber figure of yours. These quick 5-10 minute breaks can relieve the built-up stress and fatigue of everyday work. Some companies have adopted scheduled daily breaks to combat the afternoon zombie working state.

The Gap Between a Good and Great Designer

The difference between a good and a great designer is no different that any other position in the world. Time and effort are the main factors that go into the great web designers and if that doesn't inspire you to chase and become one of the greats, I'm not quite sure what will. Being able to quantify and know that each and every web developer has made the same mistakes as you can be comforting.

Eat Good Food

You're not you when you're hungry! Everyone knows this famous Snickers tag line but most don't realize how important and true it really is. As parent-like as this can sound, a healthy and balanced diet can be the difference between a decent day and a completely f@%king awesome day! There's nothing a handful of grapes and carrots can't fix, (and maybe a snickers.)

Find Inspiration From the Outside World

Don't feel the need to be limited by the size of your screen or monitor. Take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Invest your time and brain power on a day full of reading, walking, adventuring, or whatever lets you really unplug and refresh. If you don't believe me, take a minute to read Why You Need To Stop Working All The Time.

When we get into a creative rut (which we all do,) it can be difficult to climb those walls of dullness. By keeping these 8 tips in mind, you can take steps to reclaim the creativity that you knew you always had!
